The story is now legend: the "spear in the chest" epiphany that Interface CEO Ray Anderson experienced after reading Paul Hawken's The Ecology of Commerce as he sought inspiration for a speech to his company's environmental vision task force. Fifteen years later, Interface is halfway toward "Mission Zero," his vision that has profoundly changed not only Interface, but also the petroleum-intensive carpet manufacturing industry. Anderson chronicles that journey in Confessions of a Radical Industrialist, published in 2009. A new documentary film, "So Right So Smart," released in 2009, will be screened during the event. The lecture is free and open to the public. A book signing follows the presentation. Book sales are available by personal check or cash only.
