This wonderful and long out of print book chronicles the experiences of Chief Army Nurse Captain Theresa Archard of the 48th Surgical Hospital. The 48th was the first Army Hospital in North Africa and its nurses landed with the invading troops, a practice that was stopped after the North African Invasion.
