A solid first novel. At first I thought I wouldn't like this all that much, but it ended up being a good story. It's not an adventure or a tale so much, since there's no sense of some sweeping plot or group of characters who develop too much over time, but it was still enjoyable. It felt a bit like reading a book version of the tv show Avatar.

This was the best yet of the series, IMO. The world-building is terrific, and the story moves along at a really good pace. The cliffhanger at the end of this one though: ARGH! Really looking forward to the next book!

Lovely, light little read. Pre-ordered the next book.

Glad I missed this when released. Now I get to binge read! :)
