I separated this name from Jonathan Swift's page. It is true that Swift used it as a pseudonym, for instance in The Tatler listed here; but there was also a real Isaac Bickerstaff, an Irish playwright, represented here by Love in a Village, Lionel and Clarissa, The Hypocrite, and The Padlock. Wikipedia spells the playwright's name Bickerstaffe with an 'e' on the end to distinguish him from Swift's pseudonym, but that isn't practical here. The mid-19th century Rhode Island Almanac maker is presumably a third use of the name, perhaps also a pseudonym.
Isaac Bickerstaff (4) is the pseudomyn of the Canadian cartoonist Don Evans (b. 1936).
