ADAM BRADLEY: BOOK OF RHYMES 7pm Adam Bradley, a Harvard PhD and rap aficionado, examines rap’s most memorable lyricists in Book of Rhymes: The Poetics of Hip Hop. Bradley offers a guided tour of rap’s unique poetry, from the sing-song rhymes of the Sugar Hill Gang to the clever wordplay of Biggie and the dusted metaphors of Lil Wayne. Tonight, Bradley discusses America’s least understood poets, unpacking their surprisingly complex craft, and giving rap poetry the respect it deserves. More Info: AdamFBradley.com.
