Axel Bruck

Axel Brück was born in Düsseldorf in 1946. His academic training in humanities led him to a career as a practising artist. Having settled in Hamburg, where he still lives and works, he also set about organising exhibitions of artists' and photographers' work. But, following numerous exhibitions of his own sculptures and paintings , and since 1976, of his photographic work in Germany and other European countries, he turned his attention almost exclusively to photography. Since then, while working as a professional photographer, he has written and lectured extensively on aesthetic perception and on various aspects of photography. His numerous articles and books covere a wide range of photographic interests and are frequently accompanied by many fine examples of his own work.… (more)
