A Voyage to the South Seas in His Majesty's Ship… by John and John Cummins with An Introduction by Arthur D. Howden Smith Bulkeley
A different perspective on the Anson voyage by the gunner, Bulkeley, who engineered a retreat from the shipwreck of the wager on the southern Chilean coast, back through the Straits of Magellan and north along the eastern seaboard of South America until eventually reaching England. Easily the best part of the book was the oration written by Morris who had been left behind just south of the Rio de la Plata and was able to eventually make it back to England with two compadres, but oh the adventures!
