Mitja Cander

As usual in an anthology some stories are better than others. All were dark, the theme of the book being about characters who have less than angelic personalities but not entirely evil or bad. The first story was easily my favourite and hooked me instantly: The Fall of the House of Pirnat by Maja Novak made me laugh out loud in a couple of spots. None of the other stories expressed humour but were quite bleak, even though each described an "angel beneath the surface".
