Amusing. Not much storyline, but what there was, was well described. I liked that everything was rather matter-of-fact, without degrading the main character.

Entertaining and cosy. Good for when your brain can't handle too much.

The Story:
I had no expectations going into this book. I picked it up because A) I've been using this author's series to post many updates on Litsy for years. 2) I will have a chance to meet this author at Readers On the River next month so I needed to read at least one of her books. I honestly didn’t even know the plot of the book. (Young female takes up Escorting in order to pay off her father’s gambling debts.)
I’m not sure why but I didn’t think this story would be as dirty as it was. I didn’t bond Mia and I sure didn't care about Mr. Three Names I Can’t Remember. I think curiosity will let me read at least the next book but idk about all 12.

"I was a living breathing shell of nothing. Until her. She has filled me with hope. Made my heart beat again."

I absoultely loved the first two in this series and it felt like I read them so quickly, this one was not the same. I really struggled to be interested in this one and to get through it. I felt like it was so much filler and also some of the situations just seem to be getting really extreme for no reason. I mean we have Joel and Faith who are basically in a war with her ex at this point. It's dramatic and sadly the only interesting part of this book. Ruby has chosen which brother she wants to marry. But don't worry we get an obvious plot twist when it comes to the other brother. Savannah and Eric still are almost too much too take. And Dakota and Sutton's story, went from phenomenal to really? Did we have to do that super quickly.
I think the family drama for Savannah and Dakota is really the only thing keeping those two storylines from being completely unbearable at this point. The saving grace for this book was that we got more of Madam Alana. I just felt like this one was trying to hard to cram things in, while also having almost nothing happen. In my opinion it chose the wrong cliffhanger to end on. I will of course read the last one to see how the stories play out, but the direction of this one has me disappointed in the outcome.
