Lorella Cedroni is Professor of Political Theory at the University of Rome, "Sapienza"; Ph.D. in Political & Social Sciences, European University Institute EUI, Florence. She has taught and lectured in many European and American Universities. She was Fulbright distinguished Professor of Political theory at the University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA 2008, and Visiting Professor at the University of Copenhagen (1997), South University of Denmark; Research fellow, Columbia University (New York, USA), and St. John College, Annapolis (MD); She is member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Culture (Venice).
She has published books, articles and papers in several areas, including theory of democracy, political representation, party systems in European countries, political language and electoral communication. Her recent interests focus on the transformation of representative systems in western democracies.
