This unlikely concoction features a woman framed for the kidnapping of her own child, and a series of oh-by-the-way coincidences that lead to the discovery of the plot.

A good and complex story but tedious to read.

I really enjoyed this Christmassy, Murder Mystery. I bought this at the local Goodwill store and I've given it a 5* rating. This pulled me in quickly and reminds me a little bit of a big time Christmas movie. There certainly plenty of twists and turns even though everybody knows who is behind the murders and such going on in this town. It's a wonderful read by Mother and daughter authors.

This was a very quick book and it only took me a few hours to read. The whole story takes place during Christmas Eve night. A little boy is taken hostage by a man who's escaped from prison. The format is a bit different from a lot of the other books I've read by this author. A lot of the books I've read by her have many POV and you don't know who committed the crime. In this book there are a few different POV but you know the whole time who the bad guy is and there isn't a mystery but it is suspenseful as you wait to see what's going to happen.
It happens on Christmas Eve but it didn't feel very Christmassy. It held my interest but I wouldn't say that I would recommend it.
There is some blasphemy and the bad guy is quite bad and not remorseful and it had a bit of a darker feel to the story.
