Scandal in Skibbereen is the second in the County Cork Mystery series. It is a cosy mystery, warm hearted and full of information about village life in modern Ireland. It doesn't really qualify as a genealogical mystery but the word is mentioned and I am a genealogist who thoroughly enjoyed it. We get to know more about the protagonist, Maura, in this book.

Fun, really cozy mystery set in very small village in Ireland around 2010. There is a genealogical connection but no real research to solve the mystery. Genealogists will find some of the dialog involving explanations of terms peculiar to Ireland familiar from articles on "How to Research in Ireland". It is the first in a series so I will be looking for the next book to find out what happens next for the main characters.

Pleasant story, but not great literature.

An adequate cozy, light on the mystery aspect. But I enjoyed memories of Cork and some bits and pieces of Irish countryside (and its experience for an American) rang true and made me laugh.
