Reviews

This is a lovely collection of poems about life, landscape and growing up in the far south of New Zealand. It's intensely evocative for me, because I lived in or visited many of the places Kay McKenzie Cooke writes about during my own childhood and adolescence, but I think this book would appeal to people who don't share these experiences - especially those who grew up in the country, or who enjoy poetry that is sure-footed,thought-provoking, and full of life.
