Peter Sommer is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and a Visiting Reader at the Open University. In his professional consultancy he has concentrated on ICT-related risk analysis and has advised underwriters and loss adjusters on policy design as well as carrying out risk surveys world wide. He has acted as an expert witness in many leading cybercrime cases including global hacking and has carried out consultancies for the National Audit Office, Audit Commission, European Commission and United Nations Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force. He is co-author of the widely-quoted 2011 OECD study: “Reducing Systemic Cyber Security Risk” and has acted as a UK Parliamentary Specialist Advisor as well as sitting on a number of UK Government committees.
