This is a good example of realistic fiction as the pictures tell a story of a little boy and his dog and the many things they do together. It is realistic because the pictures are all photographs and so they would happen in real life, but it is fiction in the sense that it tells us a story about this little boy in a way that the readers can empathize with boy and observe his interactions with the dog. The plot of the story is a series of events that take place. First we see the boy interacting with his dog and see the adventures they go on such as fishing, going for a walk, and being out in nature. Then the dog has babies and the boy gives some of the babies to other families and keeps one baby for himself. We see him playing with the baby as well, but in the end, he is playing with, and hugging, the original dog.
