The romantic read is filled with intense drama, themes of empowerment, and tales of kingdoms. It depicts the saga of Elizabeth, Edward, and Michael, who are entitled to their roles and responsibilities. This encompasses their personal and external challenges. Gradually, you would be part of their journey through various settings, which kept readers hooked on the books. The hidden political drama with a blend of equity struggles adds more interesting sub-plots and engages the readers.

This approximately 600-page read will make you part of a whole new world set in a realistic background with all sorts of enjoyable dramas. Although the read is long, a gradual pick will keep you engaged and entertained. The writing style of the author has commendably kept the thrill of "What Next?" posed for each plot, and this is what kept me more engrossed.

This is my first book by the author, and I am going to recommend her to everyone interested in such stories. The perfect alignment of plots, sub-plots, thrills, and impeccably woven characters are the essential facets of the book. I request that you try and enjoy this unique piece of storytelling, and thank me later.

Though I haven't read the first book (yet), this book is written in a way that allows the reader to enjoy it without feeling like they missed a lot. However, I felt like I probably missed parts of the world-building, which I suppose is my 'reader's karma' for skipping around.

This book's core concept —star-crossed lovers entangled in a forbidden relationship—isn't easy to do well enough to stand out. Laughlin tackles this task skillfully, bringing together a romance veiled in territory troubles and life-threatening conflict. The dynamics here don't feel forced or contrived, which is another common pitfall in books that cross genres like this one does.

Elizabeth is a virtuous lighthouse in a raging sea, her persistence and will to persevere in spite of the potential for catastrophe is truly inspiring. Like any well-written character, she is far from perfect, but her strength and determination make her my favorite character in this book.

In Patricia D'Arcy Laughlin's captivating novel 'Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms' the 2nd book in the trilogy, we are transported across the world, where dazzling imagery of Alpine peaks and sun-drenched Caribbean Islands, deliver a sizzling cornucopia of spicy drama and suspense at a pace which will leave you breathless.

The bounty of steamy chapters in Patricia's novel ensures readers are entertained from start to finish while thought-provoking themes of historical fiction intertwined with the complexities of love and loss are sure to tug at the heartstrings.

In this epic love story, unforeseen forces threaten to shatter the lives of three lovers. Our main protagonist continues with her quest to deliver controversial speeches on patriarchy and gender equality venturing into dangerous territory to save the life of the man she dare'nt love.

An unputdownable read that breaks all the rules.
