Storm Taken is one action packed but also as some different elements to it. It was enjoyable and really a good way to look at a storm and the way we prescriptive them. Ever wonder what it like to look at thunderstorm and wonder it something of it own.

There a storm that taking be surprised by all. Things start to go missing? Is there someone taking things with out anyone knowing. To the locals on Naples they do not know that the storm is feeding on something until they are trapped on the island and can not get off or anyone can get on the island.

Can a storm feed of fear and make people to turn on one another or will they unite? I wonder about this if a storm really can feed off our fear? Is it some weather weaponize from the government? Is is a freak storm? To know for sure it hard to say. But the story behind it is good. There seems to be few plots and is there a mad man running around?

The author does a really good job with it. There seems to be a bit mystery. We learn that we may need to learn survive and get along with neighbors. Will the families work together or will they start turning on each other?

MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
If the reader was not previously aware of this being fiction, he/she would assume this was factual for the first half of the book.
The plot borders on Contemporary and Sci-Fi.
The reader is captivated from the first with a feeling of nostalgic melancholy and intrigue.
In this upper class neighborhood, one would this life is ideal, but not so in all cases, except for "best selling author", and family man, Eddie Dees.
This was the first year he, his wife, two sons and their dog had experienced a summer in Naples Island, CA. After obtaining a successful few years with producing "best sellers", they traded their Washington state "rainy" weather for the warm California sun. July was here and increasingly unusual storm activity was occurring on a regular basis.
After the first real storm, their dog was suddenly missing. Throughout the community, mistrust was increasing as various items disappeared.
As the 4th of July approached the storms became worse each day, but never lasted long..
Within his own family, Eddie faced a few challenging situations. What was happening?
little did anyone know what was threatening their comfortable lifestyles.
The blot just keeps building, with new altercations and events occurring. The mystery and intrigue keeps the readers interests for the most part of the story.
The final momentum builds but this reviewer feels it ends to weak after the build up.
The characters and various scenes are well-defined and easily visualized, allowing the reader to feel "drawn into" the tale.
The Book Title and Cover are a perfect choice.
I felt there was too much wordiness about two-thirds through the book. It last some of the the reader's intrigue and interest.
The first two pages of chapter thirty-five really "nailed" the main message of the story and of life in general.
I offer a Three and a Half Stars rating for the book.
*This book was gifted me with no pressure for a positive review. This is my honest review.
**Spoiler: often individuals get caught up in their own lives they fail to be aware of others around them. Often, people fail to even become acquainted with their neighbors. I was a young mother when I one day discovered an elderly lady across the street from me lay dead in her home for two weeks before anyone knew anything was wrong. I felt devastated I had not taken time to check on her frequently. I had always considered myself a good Christian. I knew Christ would not have allowed this to happen.
Strength comes when individuals join together in unity. Unity is what makes family, neighborhoods, communities, and countries strong.

This is the second book I have read by this author. The first one, The Remnant really caught my attention. The Remnant was more of a sci fi book whereas; this one is a supernatural thriller. Yet, both books have the fact that they feature engaging characters and good storylines. In fact, this book had a bit of Stephen King vibes going on.

The story starts out "semi slow" but quickly heats up to a full blown "storm". Eddie does a great job of holding the story as a main lead. There are other characters that are featured as well. None are third string or really even second string. Each person adds to the story. Which is quite a story. It will mess with your mind (in a good/twisted) way. It might even leave you stunned. So what are you waiting for; go pick up a copy of this book today.… (more)

This book is an intriguing read (in a good way). I found the concept of this storyline to be believable. Which is a little scary that the thought of faith is getting to be more forbidden. Mr. Davidson was smart about the way he went about addressing the topic of religion without being too overpowering. I felt the conflict that Colton endured by choosing between his job and his son. The world that the author built as well was good. It had a nice futuristic vibe to it. It helped to really bring the story to life. Although, the chapters are short, this was not the reason this book was a quick read. It was due to the good storyline and characters. The ending was a nice one. I would check into more books by this author.… (more)
