Nanette Davis is a writer, speaker, advocate and life coach for caregivers, as well as a community educator. Since looking after her late husband for four years, the focus of her writing and research has been on caregiving. Davis has taught at numerous universities, including 15 years at Western Washington University. She lives in Bellingham. In her book, Caregiving Our Loved Ones, Davis uses her own personal narrative to share the story of caregiving. She discovered that while every caregiver’s story is hers alone, each echoes that of other caregivers. She emphasizes how the road she traveled is like that of many others, so that caregivers do not have to feel alone. The ABCs of Caregiving is a book that can help caregivers as they look after a beloved family member or a friend. It's a resource to help shift the caregiver's perspective, and perhaps open up new opportunities for self-awareness and spiritual growth.
