Né le 27 décembre 1914 à Paris, Jean Diwo est un journaliste et romancier français.

Il suit des études de lettres modernes à la Sorbonne tout en pigeant pour le quotidien Paris-Soir.
Il est par la suite grand reporter pour Paris-Match avant de fonder et diriger le magazine Télé 7 jours de 1960 à 1981.

En 1981, alors juste retraité, son épouse décède. Il se tourne alors vers la littérature et publie chez Denoël une histoire de la brasserie Lipp.
Devant le succès rencontré, il persévère dans l'écriture et s'affirme au fil de ses ouvrages comme auteur à succès de romans historiques.
Il s'éteint le 10 juin 2011 à 96 ans
