Short biography
Ruth Caroline Eger was a children's book illustrator from Chicago, IL. She was married to William V. Friedlaender and had one son, William R. Friedlaender. Ruth lived her late years in Dobbs Ferry, NY and is buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery next to her spouse. She passed in 1973 after a fall and many years of subsequent illness. As her Granddaughter, she will live in my most fond memories - she was an extremely talented and educated lady that was far and away ahead of her time. I am proud to be her granddaughter.
This book was published in 1939 and William was born in 1945.
