Lost and then found, PJ Mouse, the delightful talking stuffed animal, is off on another adventure. Follow him as he explores Queensland, by land and by sea.

Another wonderful chapter in this adventure series. Never having been to Australia, I especially enjoyed the watercolor illustrations. PJ is so adorable and the places he explores are beautifully depicted.

Follow PJ as he swims with sea turtles, hitches a ride on a Lorikeet, and winds up in a bit of a pickle.

PJ was his usual adorable self and I smiled a lot, wishing I had a young one to read this to.

This is another book your children will be wanting to explore again and again.

The adventure continues for PJ the Mouse in the second book in the series which takes him and his family to Queensland, Australia. This time they take a huge plane and PJ is a bit worried about how something that big can stay in the air. Soon though he is distracted, and starts having a great time. The trip takes him on great adventures. He and his family visit the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest, two places I’d love to see myself.

Like in the first book in the series, the illustrations by Megan are adorable. Not only is this a really cute story that I think all children will love, I think adults as well as children will love learning all the information about Queensland.

I’d definitely recommend this book as well as The Travel Adventures of PJ Mouse: In Canada

In the second book in the PJ Mouse series, PJ and his new family embark on an adventure through Australia. PJ is a stuffed mouse that Emily found wet and dirty under a bench. After bringing him home and washing him up, he became part of the family. Even the family cat likes PJ Mouse.

After taking a very long airplane ride, PJ Mouse and the family arrive in Australia. Their first stop is a theme park where PJ faces his fears on a number of exciting rides. The Great Barrier Reef allows PJ to meet a new friend after nearly becoming lost. More adventures on the beach and in the rainforest create funny situations that PJ must try to get himself out of. These silly predicaments will help children with problem solving and remind them that getting help from others is sometimes necessary.

Megan Elizabeth has created some gorgeous drawings to accompany this story. My favorite illustrations were during PJ's visit to the Great Barrier Reef. She also includes a illustrated map of the country with their journey marked out so the reader can see how far across the country they have traveled.

I'm very impressed with this series of books and hope that PJ continues his adventures to other countries.

Ok, so this week is turning out to be the week for 3-star ratings, huh? I can't really explain it, but it looks like I've been reading books I thought were something else lately, and found them wanting.

Matteaus was once an Angel. But after a poor decision on his part, he and his seven companions lose their place in Heaven. Now, acting as a League whose duty is to protect the Earth from Lucifer's schemes, the Fallen are fighting to gain redemption, to get the right to return to their beloved home. But will Matteaus manage to stay level-headed when Taylor, an immortal he's assigned to protect and recruit in his war, makes his heart and body seek what he never thought he'd need again? Can he find his peace after all?

I normally have a fetish for Fallen Angels. And guys who've been bad and are trying to redeem themselves - without losing their badass attitude. So you can imagine how much I liked Matteaus's team. They were all nice, funny, cool and super badass, even the female member of the group.

The sex scenes were hot as hell, too. And the dialogues between various characters made me giggle at times. Witty banter shall always hold a special place in my heart.

But I can't just ignore the fact that it looked like the author was trying a bit too hard. In her effort to make almost everyone look badass, she kept making the characters wear tight, DARK clothes. I swear, I nearly flipped every time I read about a character wearing a dark outfit. We get it, they're mysterious and cool, but that's a bit over the edge.

One more thing that bothered me was the mythology taking place in the book. Ancient Greek gods are nice in a story. Fallen Angels, too. Fae, yes, I love that as well. And let's not forget the Valkyries and stuff. But adding all of them together, dumping them in the same story was not a wise choice. I kept rolling my eyes at that fact. It felt like the author was trying to put every cool theme in there, and instead of making it awesome, it made it confusing and a bit amateurish.

I would love to read Mika's story next, though. Despite how I feel about the first book, I think Ms. Elizabeth has enough potential to pull off the rest of the series quite nicely.
