Short biography
In another life, Jennifer Faye had been a statistician. She still has a love for numbers, formulas and spreadsheets, but when she was presented with the opportunity to follow her lifelong passion to spend her days writing and pursuing her dream of becoming a Harlequin author, she couldn’t pass it up. These days when she’s not writing, Jennifer enjoys reading, fine needlework, quilting, tweeting and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins. She lives in Pennsylvania with her amazingly patient husband, two remarkably talented daughters and their two very spoiled furbabies otherwise known as cats, but shh…don’t tell them they’re not human. 

The final story of the trilogy was good. I liked the NYC setting and the mixed messages we got about our hero in the beginning. I also liked the follow up with the rest of the royal family, a fitting close..

Good book about two people who overcome their antagonism to make a difference in an orphaned infant's life. Popi agreed to be the surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law, never expecting them to die in a tragic accident. She is determined to raise the baby on her own and is shocked when the baby's globe-trotting uncle shows up to claim the baby. Apollo is determined to raise the baby as his brother's heir. He expects Popi to be relieved to escape the responsibility and is shocked when he learns otherwise.

Sparks fly between Apollo and Popi as each stands up for their right to raise the baby. But attraction simmers under the antagonism, and neither is sure how to deal with it. Matters become complicated when they are trapped alone on the island during a storm, and Popi goes into labor. I was impressed by Apollo's ability to suppress his fear and help Popi. During those long hours, they begin to realize that first impressions and others' opinions are not always accurate. This makes it easier for Popi to accompany Apollo back to Athens after Seb's birth.

Apollo and Popi are dealing with much self-inflicted guilt over their relationships with their siblings. This creates a deep-seated belief that they don't deserve the chance to be happy. Added to his responsibility are Apollo's unhappy memories of his childhood in the home he inherited. I liked seeing him use his love of gardening to work through his issues. His true nature came to the surface as the garden blossomed. I liked how Popi found a way to help change Apollo's memories of the house.

I especially enjoyed seeing Apollo and Popi bond over their love for little Seb. Both were determined to ensure that Seb received all the love he needed. I enjoyed seeing Apollo grow into his role as a father, especially the sweet scene in the nursery (gotta love the diaper bit!). But miscommunication and a lack of self-worth nearly drive them apart. The ending was emotional as each realized that they belonged together. I loved the surprise Apollo had for Popi.

A quick and satisfying read about Princess Beatrix of Rydiania. Sister to Istavan, she is on hand and ready to serve as his wedding plans have become disrupted by rumors and stories of his abdicated uncle's family. Paparazzi and the royals go hand and hand. When one of Istavan's oldest friends, the Duke of Kaspar (Rez), is tapped to help distract the press, he reluctantly agrees. Bea and Rez have intriguing backstories that bring a lot of emotion to their romance.

Princess Cecilia is going to go off grid while she recovers from a breakup caused by too much paparazzi. In disguise, she heads to the South of France, to St. Tropez for rest and relaxation. She falls while heading into a hotel to check in. An amnesia story turned out to be just what I wanted. Antoine, thinking she was applying for work at the hotel, invites her to stay with him at his family winery, where he needs housekeeping help to ready it for market. I liked the slow way Cecilia's memory came back as they got to know one another. You can just tell they are meant to be, what a good read.… (more)
