Clara,always broke and none too honest, able to stretch a her money far further than most is finding it harder to make ends meet. So she takes another lodger. Mark conventional, honest and from a wealthy background finds himself a bankrupt and lodging in a very unconventional household.

I am not sure Why I liked this love story. Clara is distrustful of Mark and behaves abominably. The dialogue is often bizzare and the plot unlikely but somehow it works. A light but enjoyable page turner with a nice turn of phrase.… (more)
