As the title implies strange stories from Alaska. The stories vary from pygmies and men with tails to living mammoths. Or phantom gold mines and benign spirits who aid in times of crisis. Most of the stories are taken from newspaper accounts from the late 19th century. Most of the stories are just a few pages long. Seems to be written for a grade or middle school audience.
