Why couldn't the whole book by like the last chapter? The main part of the book is too long and tedious. At times I felt Frazer didn't supply enough context, and his footnotes are often other writers, not original sources. And at times he fails to footnote a quote. Maddening. But overall, his point is clear: the founders were neither irreligious nor Christian and this has had a profound impact to this day on our nation and its view of religion.
