Hi, Everyone! Ralph Freedman, Emeritus Professor at Princeton and Emory Universities, will sign his republished novel Divided on Friday, May 11th at 7:30 p.m. This novel won the Lewis and Clark Northwest Award at its 1946 publication. After growing up in Nazi Germany Ralph emigrated to the U.S. at 19 years old and joined the army during WWII, fighting in Italy. He has written three novels, essays and biographies of Hesse and Rilke. He has been translated into seven languages. And, if that isn't enough, Divided is a roaring good story of love, adventure, excitement and seriousness. It is the story of the de-Nazification of a small Austrian town at the end of WWII.
