This bi-annual event for educators (teachers, librarians, and administrators) is your chance to learn about new books and materials, meet authors with books relevant to your classroom, and learn about Greenlight's partnership opportunities for your schools. For this fall event, Greenlight is proud to present Elizabeth Green, a Brooklyn-based journalist whose new book Building a Better Teacher illuminates the incredible work of researchers and educators who have devoted their lives to distilling the “mojo” of good teachers into a concrete set of skills that can be acquired by any aspiring teacher. Green will lead a discussion on education best practices, following a title presentation from sales reps with a focus on materials teachers can use in the classroom. Handouts will be provided, and all items will be available for sale at a special 20% discount tonight only! Wine and snacks will be provided before and after the hour-long event, and Greenlight Bookstore staff will be on hand to talk about book fairs, author visits, and other partnership opportunities for schools. You can also expect door prizes and free book-related materials for educators! Feel free to forward this invitation to any and all educators in your life who might be interested in this opportunity for professional development (and free books and wine).
For educators only. RSVPs are required for this event, and educator ID is required for special discount. Please email email@example.com to RSVP and indicate your name, job title, grade, and school affiliation.
