Paula Grieg

Sexuality, gender identity, divorce, alcoholism, drug addiction, suicide- you name it, it's in this book. Paula tackles an insane amount of topics in a fairly short book, but she does it well. I'm not generally a non-fiction reader, but I really enjoyed this one. It follows the entire- and very eventful- life of a woman battling with gender identity issues. Paula's life begins (as Paul) in a pretty conservative world, and by the end, it's a lot more liberal. The world changed as Paula was changing and it was very interesting to see. Paula is by no means a natural at writing, and I wasn't very impressed by the editing, but the story is good, and Paula is so lovable.… (more)
