Do not bother with this book. Any value it might once have had has evaporated with the very great increase in our knowledge of Tolkien's life and work.

Did you know Tolkien was born in South Africa and kidnapped as a child? An interesting look at the life of one of the last centuries great writers.

Good biographical information on Tolkien without getting bogged down in minutiae. The book is less stellar when it comes to literary analysis, as the book was written without a lot of information from the posthumous works.

Honor (Black Bear, Pennsylvania), a novella by Daniel Grotta, is the story of Jeff Smith. He is a widower who lives a quiet life with his two children. He works in his father-in-law's business and is constantly bullied by his brother-in-law . On the surface there is nothing remarkable about Jeff. However, as the story develops we learn that Jeff has a secret which makes him a most remarkable man. Can he learn to believe this?
Mr. Grotta has written a powerful and thought provoking story. This is a story worth telling and I recommend reading it.
I received this book free of charge from Pixel Hall Press and I give this review of my own free will.
