Richard M. Gula, SS, is a Sulpician priest and professor of moral theology at the Franciscan School of Theology of the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA. He has been teaching in seminary education since 1973 arid has become a popular lecturer and workshop presenter to clergy, pastoral ministers, and religious educators throughout the country. He is the author of the previously published Paulist Press titles Reason Informed by faith (1989), Ethics in Pastoral Ministry (1996), Moral Discernment (1997), The Good Life (1999), and The Call to Holiness (2003).
