The author presents the newest novel in her historical fiction trilogy, set in Egypt's eighteenth dynasty during the reign of Queen Nefertiti and Pharaoh Akhenaten.
After the events of Hope of the Pharaoh and Mother of a King, Tut has grown into his position as Pharaoh, but he is a wild young man. His mother Naomi fears for him, not only because of his recklessness, but because he has put his trust in Ay — the very man bent on Naomi's destruction. Meanwhile, the threats of death and slavery hang over Naomi and her family. With the Hebrew population booming, fearful Egyptians begin demanding their enslavement and reinstate conscription, and Naomi fears for the lives of her other children. Especially since Ay's children are now adults, and just as dangerous as their father. But while Naomi deals with the struggles of her family, her distraction could spell death for Pharaoh Tutankhamen.
