Who knew being a soccer referee could be so funny? Although this book is incredibly dated, it's a very good review of the laws of soccer (then in force). If it were kept updated (the last known published version was in 1995; my copy was a 1985 edition), it would be a mandatory purchase for all soccer referees.

Intended as a guide to the art and craft of refereeing soccer, with an emphasis on youth matches. Harris and Harris provide an overview of many topics important to referees. This is one of the two or three best books on the subject. Different editions have different emphases, and one always has to be careful of places where the Laws of the Game have been changed over the years, but this book should be part of any serious referee's library.
