About the Author
Bobbie Louise Hawkins was born in Abilene, Texas on July 11, 1930. She wrote more than 20 books of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and impressionist monologues including A Moral Tale, 15 Poems, Back to Texas, Almost Everything, One Small Saga, and My Own Alphabet. She toured as Three Women with folk show more singer Rosalie Sorrels and the singer and guitarist Terry Garthwaite. Hawkins taught at the Naropa Institute (now Naropa University) from 1978 until her retirement in 2010. She died on May 4, 2018 at the age of 87. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
