One of the more bizarre pulp writers, Jacobi in his slim output was not afraid to take on anything. His stories are hard to categorize since they go from conventional ghost stories to cosmic peril to Mythos touching monster yarns. A healthy dose of suspension of disbelief will allow you to get into the spirit of the thing. His writing is above average for the pulpsters.

Carl Jacobi was one of the more unique pulp writers. There was nothing too bizarre or just plain freaky he wouldn't try, therefore his stories tend to defy categorical description. He definitely was not in the Cthulhu Mythos scheme of things and his output of outré stories is really rather small.

Although these stories are definitely not much above the literary quality of most pulp, the stories are just so weird and varied that you end up pretty much loving them all.
