A review of studies into the provision of counselling and psychotherapy in a primary care setting, principally in the UK's NHS service. A not unnaturally dry and academic read, but very interesting if the subject is of relevance to you (which would probably be if you are a counselling student and/or academic researching in this area. Doubtless, also of interest to practicing counsellors and psychotherapists).

Despite being a little dated (the second edition was published in 2007, so it doesn't deal with more recent legislation, such as the Equality Act 2010), this book still addresses a number of issues relating to counselling practice and the law. I found of particular interest the chapters on confidentiality, counselling children and young people, and statutory regulation.
