Stanley Street Baptist Chapel, Liverpool (aka Frog Lane Baptist Church|in charge|1750|his death|1791) - Short biography
- "About the commencement of this century a small but neat chapel was erected in Comus Street by a community of what are called Johnsonian Baptists. (1875), vol. ii, p. 318).
Wikipedia says Johnson was born at Lostock Gralam, p. Eccles, the son of an agricultural labourer, suggesting a bit of typical Victorian snobbery and pedigree padding somewhere along the way.
