The Way It Turned Out: A Memoir
Spanning seven decades, this memoir moves the reader across The Middle East, Europe, and the United States. Herant explores the role of chance in his own life, but his findings will resonate with your own experiences. As he reconstructs past events in the light of the present, he is able to contextualize personal events within historical time periods.
Herant Katchadourian is perhaps best known as a gifted teacher who was nominated seven times as Outstanding Professor and Class Day Speaker during his long career at Stanford, but he also revels in the joys of storytelling. This immensely readable and instructive memoir takes the reader through the unlikely, moving, and often hilarious turns in Katchadourian’s life, showing how The Way It Turned Out is hardly the way anyone would have guessed it to be.
Richard Evans is an international businessman and traveler who has served in senior leadership positions for several Fortune 500 companies.
