This is for early reviewers. This book was pretty good. I liked the story but I felt lost with trying to follow who was connected to who. However I am looking foward to reading the next book in the series.

Omega Rising is the first in a new paranormal romance series. Cass Nolan is burned by the touch of other people. She has also been haunted by stalking nightmares who whole life. When the nightmares come, people die. She has finally found a home amongst her misfit employees on her ranch. And she has met a man whose touch she not only can accept, but which she craves. When the nightmares return, she has to make the choice to abandon her home and quirky “family” or stay and fight.

Nathan Rivers is a werewolf enforcer fighting mages, Omegas and rogue shifters. He has been hunting for the Omega who killed his brother for years. His quest leads him to Cass and her family of shapeshifters. The evidence points to Cass as an Omega, yet when her life is threatened all his instincts demand he protect her with his life.

When I started to read this book I had to go and look at Amazon to be sure that I was not reading the second or third in a series. The author throws the reader right into her world without a guidebook.I found the first couple of chapters a bit confusing because of that. Everything is eventually made clear and the quality of the world building, mythology and character development make the reader’s patience worthwhile. Other reviewers have commented on the confusion with the number of characters. I didn’t find this was a problem because all the characters, major or minor, were well described and fully developed. I especially enjoyed Cass. She is sarcastic, brave, compassionate and not a helpless damsel in distress. While the novel is a romance, the paranormal and adventure aspects of the novel were just as important. There is some sexual content, but not excessive. There are hints that there will be further developments of the mythology, and an exploration of the supernatural world including mages and fae in future installments of this series. I look forward to reading them. I would recommend this book for fans of Eileen Wilks or Patricia Briggs.

I received an ebook for a review and I am just in love with this book. The characters are very strong and have great back stories. Nathan a wolf shifter and his mate Cass meet in this book. I really want the next book in the series. I have not seen such strong characters in along time. This book isn't one of those no brainer books. No this book keeps you entertained and wanting more. I really didn't want to put this book down. I love all of Cass and Nathan's friends. All shapeshifters or "joined". That was a different word I have not read about. Keep this series going, please.… (more)

This book was alright. I did like the story line but at times I felt lost with trying to follow what everyone was and who tied together with who, but maybe it was just me. I will keep an eye out for the next book in this series and give that one a try.
