This book is a very good review and study of Italian-Americans, the impact of WWII on them and their communities, as well as Italy. Plus there are some excellent stories about Italian-Americans' roles in the WWII. A very worthwhile book.

Thirteen chapters of oral history by various Italian-American immigrants. If you enjoy oral histories, as I do, then this is a wonderful volume. A far more unvarnished truth than in text books. Organized by some basic work, I found it an excellent compilation.
