Darlene Artell Hartman, who also writes as “Simon Lang”, has written novels, essays, articles, PSAs, and TV since shortly after the martyrdom of St. Peter. A native of New Orleans, she is a Eucharistic Minister, a gourmet cook, Master Gardener, artist, non-stop talker, and award-winning writer. She has spoken at schools and conferences around the country on such subjects as Being There, Raising Handicapped Children, Teaching the Unborn, The Handicapped Child in School, Fun With Sign Language, Remember That! and Imagine That! and has been artist-in-residence at a magnet school in Orlando, Florida.
She’s addicted to the holy Rosary, has been married to the same wonderful man for fifty years, has 20 children, 42 grandchildren and 20 little ‘angels.’
Hartman/’Lang’ teaches an online writers’ course, “Think Like A Writer”, coaches new writers, runs a newsgroup on Yahoo, has just finished a filmscript for an independent film maker, and runs two websites, www.simonlang.net, and a parenting site called “Nana’s World” which is still under construction.
