Like a lot of other guides, I had to tape the covers of this one to keep them from peeling apart. I wish publishers would do like Princeton Press does and provide a plastic cover, or do like the Audubon series does and make the covers out of plastic or ruggedize them somehow.

Aside from that, the book is pretty decent - good photos in each of the moth species sections (many are life sized or have a real size indicator), small maps to indicate range and also a bar graphic to show when they are most abundant. Oh and the end paper in the back shows species silhouettes so you can get to the right section quickly.… (more)
