This is a collection of true-life accounts from people of all walks of life who’ve found love in a library. The stories they tell are sad, funny, poignant and heartfelt and are perfect for dipping into at random. The fact that so many people answered Lefebvre’s plea for their stories just goes to show how important a role our libraries play in our lives. I found The Romance Of Libraries to be both lighthearted and an intensely satisfying collection of love stories. I recommend this book to all book lovers, but of course, especially to librarians.… (more)
I was expecting much more of this book than it delivered--it's really just a bunch of anecdotes from librarians about how they meet people/lovers in libraries and i guess i thought we were more of an exciting group than that (and i still like to think so!)
