Jonathan McConnell

Jonathan McConnell is a senior lecturer in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences at Monash University, Australia, and is a member of the Education Committee of the Medical Radiation Practitioners Board of Victoria. He contributes to radiography educational development through membership of show more national and international course accreditation teams, as well as sitting on the advisory panel for the University of Central Queensland. He was Head of Department in Christchurch (New Zealand) where he led the Diagnostic Radiography degree and previously developed a satellite campus as a principal lecturer for the St Martin's College, Lancaster (now the University of Cumbria, UK) undergraduate radiography program. He was a main contributor in the creation of the Higher Education Network for Radiography in Europe. His first lectureship was with the University of Bradford and he held multiple clinical positions including reporting radiographer/clinical tutor, as well as specializing in trauma and orthopaedics at the General Infirmary in Leeds. He has contributed to several textbooks including Interpreting Trauma Radiographs, Paediatric Radiography, Medical Imaging Techniques, Reflection and Evaluation and Practical Radiotherapy Physics and Equipment. He has addressed conferences as an invited speaker, delivered internationally, has several journal publications to his name and contributes to the editorial panel of Radiography.
