Jean-Marie Perouse de Montclos is a French architectural historian.

He teaches at the Ecole de Chaillot and the Ecole du Louvre and is a member of the Academy of Architecture and the scientific council of the Andrea Palladio International Center for the Study of Architecture. Perouse de Montclos was the first researcher recruited to the general inventory of monuments and art treasures of France founded in 1964 by André Malraux and André Chastel. He then held the job of director of scientific research and documentation for 20 years and chaired the national commission. He has authored numerous articles and books.
