I have never read a book by Jennifer Ann before, not that that ever stops me from reading a book, but the title and the synopsis of this book sucked me in, I knew I needed to read The Secrets Between Us, and boy, am I glad I did.

From the very beginning of this book, you are hooked, seriously you don't "want" to know what happens next, you NEED to know what happens next! And just when you think you know the story, BAM!!! The author blindsides you with another plot twist that simply blows your mind.

You cannot help but love the main characters Quinn and Lincoln, Quinn's determination and Lincoln's need to protect and right wrongs. I really don't want to get too much into the book, because it would be literally one spoiler after another, and I simply don't want to do that.

The plot and writing is simply fantastic! I defiantly plan on reading more from Jennifer Ann, and I can't recommend her enough! And I pretty sure my friends are sick of hearing me talk about this book.

With all of that being said, I give The Secrets Between Us 5 stars!

I liked it, I did, buuuuuut something did bug me, so I will get those out of the way first. I don't know if this bugged anyone else, but it was not addressed anywhere that Nolan was attracted to Evelyn first, it may have been minor and that nothing came out of it, but they did kiss and had she gave him a chance he would have totally jumped at it, I don't know I just felt that somewhere it should have been mentioned, even in passing, dropped, alluded it, even addressed as in stating that is was insignificent, but still mentioned, that is just how I felt about that, as I was reading the book, it bugged me the whole time, because it was like the author wanted us to forget that part as if it never happened, like we never read it, and again, it may not have been important anymore, because Evelyn was married to Charlie and they were stupidly in love, but at one point, Nolan was interested and Charlie was jealous of him, so to act as if he was never interested in her, just bugged me, but is what it is. Another, pet peeve, and I think this one was a little more annoying to me, was when Sofi was thinking about how Charlie was so hot, and that she did not go to their Hot tub party when Evelyn and he where first Engaged because of it, because of attraction, and then later on she got tingles, when he hugged her as a hello, and tried not to shutter, ewww, eww, that is your sisters husband, knock that out..After I got over that, then I got into the story. I was disappointed in Nolan, being with that slutty chick Avery, just to have a girlfriend, and was happy he finally manned up and kicked to curb. And Sofi grew on me, and when reading what the poor girl went thru, you understood, it was sad, reading this, you love James even more, and again love Sharlo, who is the best.… (more)

You just have to love yourself some Sharlo, she is hilarious. And you also always love yourself a broody sentimental tough guy, and we have that with James, poor baby, he just wants to be there for everyone, and he neglect himself. Thankfully, he ends up meeting and having Sharlo, because lord if he ended up with that tart as Sharlo called her Ivy, that would have just been sad, he definitely deserved someone better. It was also heartbreaking for him to have to find his father, my heart went out to him, and also to hear the burden that he held onto for so many years with what Sofi went thru and he felt responsible for, was just sad. But, my friends he got a second chance a chance for happiness, and he got it. And I am excruciatingly happy for him.… (more)

I loved myself some Charlie. It was a sweet love story between Evelyn and Charlie, of course totally unrealistic, but enjoyable, Sharlo was awesome, love friends like that, and can't wait for her story with James, and the rest of the Kendall family and to continue to read of her continuing relationship with Charlie. Would have liked her to have let Charlie know that she had kissed Nolan even if she did it out of anger and nothing came out of it, but in my opinion, she should have fessed up.
