Short biography
Marjorie Owen's son Mike Owen says she was born in England to an unmarried couple, with an Irish lord for a father and a Russian princess as a mother. She worked for years as a clothing buyer and personal shopper for a major London department store, with members of the British Royal Family among her clientele. She found time to write short stories and four novels in genres ranging from romance to mystery, but never published during her lifetime. After Marjorie's death in 2004, at age 93, her daughter-in-law Dee Owen spent three years transcribing her handwritten works on the computer. Her mystery novel Ladies of Class was published in 2008, followed by its sequel Poison Pen in 2014.
