Born in Sherbrooke Quebec Canada. An aloof person totally involved in music. A short marriage to his wife Elsie Espelien, two sons, first son,Terrance born in Calgary. His wife left him with second son unborn, Robert. He lived in a basement suite at his parents place in Calgary until leaving to work for Hohner in New York in the mid 1960's. Last meeting with his sons was in Calgary at the death of his mother. He was an inventor, a musician, an entertainer but not a family person. He neglected his family until ill health at which time he tried to reconnect with his eldest son Terrance. He died in New York state leaving behind his two sons, Terrance now deceased, and Robert, and many grandchildren that he never got to know. Writing this is his youngest son Robert, who had a brief live in with him at his parents (my grandparents home in Calgary). He was a funny man,(humorous), but never meant to be a father. My brother Terrance passed his ashes on to me, I think Terrance knew he was dying. His ashes sit in my family room on an end table. What to do with them, I am still unsure. I take a drink or two, and have a few words with him now and again wondering how he could totally alient himself from his family.
