Louise Pennington

This was certainly a "different" book for me.
The main character, was Eve, who hasn't been married for a long time and has a 6 month old baby and is supposedly suffering from post-natal stress. Her step-daughter, looks after the baby, at the same time carrying on with a boyfriend who says he’s polygamous. Eve's husband's ex-wife is a drunk and a nut case who seems to be always hanging around, along with her cheating boyfriend.
Eve's father died when she was a teen. Her mother always favoured her older brother Eve was raped by her 31 year old brother when she was 15. Throughout the story Eve goes into these trances and recalls ugly past events.
Although, I didn't quite understand why these people would continue to be a part of each-others lives, the story kept me wanting to read more, in hopes of understanding the relationships.
I wasn't totally disappointed, but I wasn't excited about the way it ended.… (more)
