This is a book of poetry. It called itself an autobiography, and I do think it fits. You have the poetry, but then you also have information about sometimes true events or names of the wind or things that happen because of the wind. This was very well done and the illustrations are really eye-catching.

This is a fun, comic style informational text about the unique qualities(“superpowers”) of beavers. It is broken up by these qualities which would make it easy to read in chunks, although it has developing characters, so not out of order. I could see myself using some of this to explore qualities of beavers with 3-5th graders. I don’t know if I would use the whole book as a read-aloud because it is close to 100 pages.

Great nonfiction book. Love the surreal and spooky art to learn about fascinating sea creatures. The words and illustrations are a really inventive way to present information on these odd and wonderful creatures -- love the life and fold. Will be recommending this book and glad to have in at part of my J non-fiction collection
