Great plays from the early 20th century, spanning three continents and many subject matters. The plays are all familiar classics, many of them old friends that are frequently performed. These aren't meant to be acting editions, but are instead reading editions. The final comment by Tennessee Williams on the difference between this version and the acting edition was very helpful, because it explained the differences I saw in this script from what I had seen in the many productions I've seen of this play.
